Your sweat - a Data Goldmine?
Hands up. I categorically wasn't aware that my sweat held within it such a powerful dataset. Thankfully, a group of pointy heads at Berkley are.
According to their recent research paper, the sensors they've developed monitor both electrolytes and metabolites (glucose and lactate) which should, in theory, provide on-the-fly readouts of glucose levels.
If the Holy Grail of wearable tech is to be able measure the impact a specific piece of food or drink has on your body so you can identify which products you process well and which you don't, then this might just take us one step closer.
